Angel Reese Reinforces Caitlin Clark’s Strong Rookie of the Year Message
On Friday night, the highly anticipated fourth and final battle of 2024 between WNBA rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will take place as the Indiana Fever hit the road to face off against the Chicago Sky.
Prior to the game, Clark discussed the race for Rookie of the Year, which has come down to herself and Reese. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star didn’t seem to care about the individual award, preferring team accolades and winning. Clark also noted that Reese would say the same thing, and sure enough, the former LSU Tigers star did in her pregame press conference.
“We don’t either care about the Rookie of the Year,” Reese said. “I think you guys have made it a big thing. We haven’t. So just continue to work within our team. We both wanna win; we’ve been wanting to win, and that’s what we’ve done in our collegiate career… So we’re just trying to do whatever it takes to win and that’s what’s important right now.”
Clark and Reese have been two of the best players in the league this season. Clark is leading the WNBA in assists with 8.1 per game, while Reese is first in rebounds, averaging 12.9 per game.
Both the Fever and the Sky are in position to make the playoffs. Indiana (15-16) is likely to make the postseason for the first time since 2016. Chicago (11-19) is only one game ahead of the Atlanta Dream for the last playoff spot. With a win against the Fever, they can keep that spot for now.

Unfortunately for the Sky, they will be without their leading scorer, Chennedy Carter, due to health and safety protocols.
As Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were celebrating their consecutive Super Bowl victories by attending their ring ceremony at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. One person within the Mahomes household wasn’t pleased at not being there to celebrate Super Bowl LVIII.
Randi Mahomes, the mother of three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes, expressed her desire to attend this year’s Super Bowl ring ceremony. Opening up on her thoughts while speaking on the Mom Game Podcast, Randi stated, “This year, though, I did say when they win because I speak it into existence, I’m going to the ring ceremony if I have to crash it, so if anyone wants to go with me I’m like I haven’t been invited to any of them, and I’m going to crash the ring ceremony.”
Although the single mother wasn’t happy about not being invited to any of the Chiefs’ ring ceremonies, she has continued her support for the team her son plays for. Sharing her excitement on the day of this prestigious event, Randi dropped a tweet with red and yellow hearts alongside three rings.
But that’s not all, as the 52-year-old went on to share a Super Bowl LVIII introductory video that was originally posted by the Chiefs official social media handle. The video she shared had a caption that read, “529 diamonds. 38 rubies. One back-to-back champion.”
What’s your reaction?
Did Patrick Mahomes’ mom just drop a bombshell about the Chiefs’ ring ceremony? React!
It even had minute details like a “Tom & Jerry” diagram on them, which depicted the game-winning play against the 49ers. However, Randi didn’t only show her excitement for the ring ceremony by posting on social media. She sent two hearts virtually to her son and daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, who were showing off their Super Bowl rings.
Patrick Mahomes had a diamond ring on his middle finger, while his wife Brittany waved her fingers with a diamond solitaire ring on them. Although Randi couldn’t have been present at the event herself, she did send her best wishes to the Chiefs QB.
Talking about her vibrant presence on social media, Randi recently provided us with pics and highlights of the trip she took to Dallas. It showed a completely different side of the single mother.
Randi Mahomes’ glamorous Dallas Getaway
Mama Mahomes took the internet by storm when she shared her escapades to Dallas. Through a series of Instagram stories, she let us in on the adventurous night at the Choctaw Casino Resort. One of her Instagram stories, captioned “Millionaire Cocktail,” showed Randi had the time of her life placing bets and slurping cocktails.
Within the series of IG stories, another one read, “Winning over here while learning all the tricks!” She didn’t even shy away from tagging Choctaw Casinos & Resorts, thereby showing her excitement about the night. Besides that, she dazzled with an all-white ensemble and a bow ribbon on her neck.

Well, her accessories didn’t end there, as the single mom completed her looks with golden matte hoop earrings and a black sling bag to go with them. To highlight her fit, Randi tagged “@blackhalo, @baublebar, @serosoles, @chanelofficial” while captioning the story with “Ready for the evening!”
And Mama Mahomes was not partying solo. She also met a Dallas-based blogger, Sieli, while having cocktails. Being a fangirl, the blogger posted an Instagram story with the caption, “Go Chiefs,” which Randi later shared on her account as well.
The three-time Super Champion’s mother continues to enjoy life while supporting her son and wife wherever she can. Just like his mother, can Patrick Mahomes continue to support his team while helping them secure the 3-peat? And if he does, will he invite Mama Mahomes to the ring ceremony this time around?
