Tom Brady Was Asked By Colin Cowherd If He Might Play Again, And His Response Left Open The Possibility Of A Return (VIDEO)

Tom Brady announced his retirement from football for a second time last Wednesday, but of course, many fans and pundits are having a tough time believing him.

After all, Brady was “retired” for only 40 days last year before announcing in March that he was coming back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another season. And considering that Brady was still above-average in 2022, there’s no doubt that he would still appeal to many QB-needy teams.

During an interview with FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd, the seven-time Super Bowl champion was asked if there’s even “a one percent chance” that he’ll be talked into returning to football. Brady indicated that he’s ready to move on, but he also didn’t give a firm “no” in his response:

“I know in my heart how I feel.. you know, I put it out on the field for 23 years, and I’m super proud of what’s been accomplished. I just wanted to keep last week really short and sweet…

“When one thing closes, like football has for me…it’s hard to make decisions like that…but it’s certainly the right time.”

In the interview with Cowherd, Brady also revealed that he likely won’t make his transition into the FOX NFL broadcast booth until the 2024 season.

It’s easy to understand why some folks remain skeptical on Brady’s retirement decision. At the same time, one has to think that he would’ve spent more time mulling over his future if he wasn’t 100 percent sure on a firm retirement.

Regardless, Brady’s career as one of the all-time great athletes is more than secure. Nobody will match his seven Super Bowl rings, and probably not his career passing yards, passing touchdowns and completions records.
