Tom Brady teases NFL return AGAIN as legendary QB says he ‘can still throw it’ as he shows off his arm at 49ers game

Tom Brady continues to tease his NFL return as the legendary quarterback showed he can still throw crisp passes almost two years after retiring from the sport.

On Sunday, Brady threw the pigskin ahead of the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints‘ preseason game in the Bay Area.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion appeared in good spirits as he showed off his arm on the sidelines at Levi’s Stadium. After throwing a few passes, he walked away with a smile.

‘I can still throw,’ Brady said while shrugging his hands.

‘The [goat emoji] still got it,’ the NFL captioned the clip on social media.

Brady’s potential return has been a never-ending discussion since his second retirement from the sport.

The five-time Super Bowl MVP first bid farewell to the NFL in February 2022 after his Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Los Angeles Rams in a wild card game. However, Brady quickly retracted his departure a month later to play another season with the Bucs.

After the 2022-23 season, Brady retired ‘for good’ behind another wild card loss, this time to the Dallas Cowboys.

Since stepping away, Brady was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame after bringing six of his seven Super Bowls to Foxborough.

While Brady has not dismissed the idea of returning for another stint in the NFL, he remains aware that his intentions to own part of the Las Vegas Raiders could halt his dreams of stepping back out on the field.

‘I’m not opposed to it,’ Brady responded. ‘I don’t know if they’re gonna let me be an owner in an NFL team.’

While his ownership may be a roadblock to a potential return, he insisted that he will always be in shape to compete.

‘I’m always gonna be in good shape. I’m always gonna be able to throw the ball,’ Brady added. ‘To come in for a bit like MJ (Michael Jordan) coming back – I don’t know if they’d let me, but I would not be opposed to it.’

In the meantime, Brady will embark on his new role as the an NFL analyst for Fox Sports.

The 2024 season will be the first of his 10-year, $375million contract with the network.
