Tom Brady is retired and ready to put his focus on other things in his life, and that includes his podcast. The recently retired quarterback won’t start his broadcasting career until next year, so he has time for other things.

Speaking on his podcast Let’s Go! this week, Brady shared some interesting insights about the controversial 2003 Super Bowl halftime show that featured Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake.

When speaking about the wardrobe malfunction, Brady had nothing but glowing things to say about it.

“When we beat Carolina in 2003, we came off the field and that was when we had the wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson,” Brady recalled. “And they were asking me about that! I couldn’t even understand what they were telling me about.”

“I think in the end, it was probably a good thing for the NFL. Because everyone got to talk about it and it was just more publicity and more publicity for halftime shows, so, is any publicity bad publicity?”

After singing the last line, “gonna have you naked by the end of this song,” Timberlake ripped off part of Jackson’s costume, exposing her right breast. The camera shot quickly changed, but the damage was already done.

Many believe that moment got Janet blackballed in the music industry while Timberlake flourished in his career.

With his broadcasting career looming, Brady did not mention the Fox broadcast featuring Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen once during his podcast. He will be taking Olsen’s job once he begins.
