The NFL icon shares his oldest son with ex Bridget Moynahan
Tom Brady’s son is celebrating a big birthday!
On Thursday, Aug. 22, the retired NFL player, 47, shared a carousel of photos on his Instagram as he celebrated his son John “Jack” Edward Thomas’s 17th birthday. In one sweet father-son photo, Brady smiles as he poses with Jack, who stands almost as tall as his dad. The lookalike duo leans into each other as they pose on a golf course.
Other photos show Jack with his siblings Vivian, 11, and Benjamin, 14, and videos of Jack playing golf with his dad.
“Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17-year-old, I know. You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you mature into a young man,” Brady wrote in his caption.

“Your love of family, friends, school, athletics, hard work and dedication to everything you put your energy into are just some of your amazing qualities.”
“I love spending every minute with you and I cherish our time together. (Those are all my favorite things about you. My least favorite is that you can beat me in one on one now 🙄😂),” he joked, ending his post by wishing his son a happy birthday and saying he’ll love him forever.
Brady shares Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan. He shares his kids Benjamin and Vivian with ex Gisele Bündchen.
In April, the Brady appeared on DeepCut with VicBlends and opened up about his son Jack. “I mean my oldest son, Jack, he’s an amazing young man. Straight As. Handles himself so well in groups of people and I see him and he’s 16, and I’m like how are you so mature,” Brady said.
“[He] lives in New York City, puts his heart and soul into everything he does. I mean he just, he blows me away with who he is.”

In the same interview, Brady got candid about when he first became a parent, sharing that he felt his journey to fatherhood improved with time.
“You get better as a parent, I think, because you know when you’re a young parent, you don’t really know what you’re doing. You’re winging it. You’re trying to wing it,” Brady said.
“So I think when you become a parent, you’re trying new things for the first time, you’re going through all these things for the first time so you don’t exactly know always the right thing to say,” he continued. “As you go, you get a little bit better at it, you get a little more understanding of it and you try to just continue to kind of refresh your skills as a parent.”
