Angel Reese may have landed herself in some hot water with fans following a since-deleted tweet in which she appeared to take a shot at Caitlin Clark.Reese and Clark are the WNBA’s newest rivals, having entered the league together after going at each other in last year’s national title game and this year’s Elite Eight.

The Chicago Sky forward got the best of Clark when LSU and Iowa clashed with a championship at stake in 2023. Clark and the Hawkeyes returned the favor this year but fell short at the final hurdle, losing to South Carolina.

Clark hasn’t won a game since she arrived in the WNBA, with her Indiana Fever 0-5. They suffered two losses to the Connecticut Sun, as well as the New York Liberty, before losing to the Seattle Storm on Wednesday.

The Sky just handed the Liberty their first loss of the season to improve to 2-1, and Reese was throwing shade after Thursday’s victory.

“And that’s on getting a WIN in a packed arena not just cause of one player on our charter flight,” she tweeted before deciding to delete it.

Fans took this as a swipe at Clark and jumped to her defense via the same platform.

Angel Reese’s Tweet Probably Had More To Do With Charles Barkley

Fans would do well to note that Charles Barkley basically called the rest of the WNBA haters in his defense of Caitlin Clark earlier this week.

The former NBA superstar was on television on Wednesday night when he suggested that the packed arenas and charter flights are because of Clark and that players should be grateful instead of displaying pettiness.
