The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not have their best offensive game of the season, but they surely did enough to see themselves get into the playoffs.
The Buccaneers controlled their own playoff destiny entering Week 18, and they did their job. Tampa Bay did its job with an ugly 9-0 win over the woeful Panthers to clinch the NFC South title and home-field advantage next weekend.
To celebrate the victory, the team went out to eat with a bunch of the rookies and finally had that meal that all teams had to really break them in.
On Snapchat, Tampa Bay Bucs rookie safety Christian Izien posted the bill that the rookies had to pay for and it came out to over $20,000.
Izien finished his rookie season with 47 total tackles, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.
For the fourth year in a row, the Buccaneers’ postseason journey will start against an NFC East Team in the opening round. The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL playoffs next weekend.
The game will be played on Monday. Nobody thought this was possible weeks ago when the Eagles were 10-1 but now they find themselves on the road as the No. 5 seed after an abysmal loss to the New York Giants in the regular season finale.
