New details have emerged regarding Tom Brady’s deal with FOX that suggests the former Patriots and Buccaneers star is also going to be a hit on television.

Brady signed a 10-year deal to the tune of $375 million with the network in 2020 and is set to make a lot more with them than he did over the span of his 23-year career in the NFL. Based on the gossip going around since he announced his retirement, it appears the 45-year-old will be worth every penny.

According to Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, several people who have been in production meetings with Brady all believe he will do a splendid job when he takes over as lead football analyst at FOX next season.

The sources cited claimed to be impressed with the former star’s ability to articulate concepts relating to football, also noting he could be “funny and occasionally profane.”

Sounds like a pretty good mix, to be honest.

“We’ve all seen great athletes go into that position and fail,” one source said. “But my gut reaction is he will be prepared. One big question is you don’t know how critical he will be of other players. That’s always the biggest transition and question for me. But I have seen him be critical in our meetings. He is a likable guy, and I think he’ll be good. Tom has more of a sense of humor than people realize.”

Brady has said he’s most looking forward to learning, not teaching. But he does have a wealth of football knowledge fans simply cannot wait to hear him share.
