Caitlin Clark has officially gone from shattering NCAA records to writing her name in the WNBA history book.

On Saturday afternoon, Clark became the first WNBA rookie to ever record a triple-double. Clark already had 16 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds in the fourth quarter, so all she needed was one more rebound.

It didn’t take long for Clark to grab her 10th board of the game. Once it happened, the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse erupted into a frenzy. Clearly, they were aware of the fact that history was just made.

To be fair, Clark has been flirting with a triple-double for a while now. It was only a matter of time before she got the job done.

Clark actually set two different records this Saturday. Prior to securing the triple-double, she picked up her fourth double-double with assists. The record was previously owned by WNBA legend Sue Bird.

We’d have to imagine Clark will be asked about setting a couple of WNBA records during her postgame press conference. And if we had to guess, she’ll probably be concerned about the outcome of the game.

That being said, Clark deserves a round of applause for making history this early in her career.
