Lisa Bluder and Jan Jensen continue to support Caitlin Clark even though she is no longer at Iowa. Recently, they represented her at a major event.
In Iowa, Coach Jensen expressed her pride, saying, “So proud to be at the Honda Cup award once again.” Caitlin Clark won the overall Cup last year, and tonight we’ll find out if she wins it again. Lisa Bluder and I are here representing Caitlin as she is currently playing with the Indiana Fever. The Honda Cup celebrates the best in collegiate athletics, and the 2024 Honda Cup broadcast will be on June 24th at 7 PM, which is today.
Caitlin Clark, who won the award last year, is in the running again this year. Lisa Bluder and Jan Jensen stepped in as her replacements since Caitlin is unable to attend due to her commitments on the court. It’s a fantastic gesture from these dedicated coaches to take the time to represent Caitlin Clark at such a significant event. We hope Caitlin will secure another win tonight.
There’s also growing interest in seeing Lisa Bluder become the head coach of the Indiana Fever. While Chrissy Sides has had her moments, there are still calls for Bluder to take on the role and see how she would fare as head coach. It would be intriguing to see Bluder’s impact on the team. Hopefully, one day this will become a reality.
