Steve Harvey may be funny, but he takes his role as dad very seriously.
“The thing I’ve learned about fatherhood [is that there] ain’t no manual, ain’t no blueprint for raising your kids,” Harvey once said on an episode of Sip N Smoke with Cam Newton. “They’re going to make mistakes, and you have to allot for those mistakes.
Because no matter what you teach them as a parent, they one day are going to make a decision that’s completely adverse to everything you’ve ever taught them. Just stay with them…keep loving them.”

How many kids does Steve Harvey have?
Harvey is dad to seven children, including the three kids he adopted after marrying his current wife, Marjorie Harvey, in 2007: twins Karli and Brandi, sons Broderick, Wynton, and Jason, and daughters Morgan and Lori.
Steve and Marcia married in 1981 when he was working as an insurance salesman in Ohio and still trying to break into comedy. The couple welcomed three children between 1982 and 1991—twins Karli and Brandi, and son Broderick—then separated in 1994.
In 2016, Harvey admitted to People that the day he decided to quit his job to pursue a career in entertainment was not a great one for his young family. “I’m married, I have twins. I’m supposed to provide for them, but I had to take this chance,” he said.
Marcia stayed out of the public eye both during and after her marriage to the famous comedian, although she has gone on to become a published author.
