Jennifer Garner Tells Ryan Reynolds ‘I’ll Fight Bad Guys for You Any Day’ After He Praises Her ‘Blackbelt in Nice’

Ryan Reynolds is continuing to thank the A-list stars who made cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine, and now it’s Jennifer Garner’s turn to get a special shoutout.

On Monday, Aug. 5, Reynolds, 47, voiced his appreciation for his Adam Project costar Garner, 52, who reprised her role of Elektra in the latest Deadpool film.

The Canadian actor shared a carousel of photos on Instagram of Garner in the movie, with one snap showing them posing with Wesley Snipes, who reprised his role as Blade in the flick.

Another photo showed Reynolds and Garner laughing with director Shawn Levy, with a final black and white shot showing Garner smiling for the camera, among other images.

“This @jennifer.garner person. She has a blackbelt in nice, but has inside her, an unblinking hurricane of vengeance™️,” Reynolds captioned the post.

“I’ve worked with Jen twice now. She brings a completely different scope of skills to each movie but can’t hide one detail… I don’t care how talented someone is, you can’t hide humanity,” he added.

“She’s not only one of my favorite performers, she’s one of my favorite people. I love her and I will now and always, owe her one. Or five. What a baller. #ElektraForever,” Reynolds concluded.

Garner responded to the post, sharing it on her Instagram Stories alongside the message, “I’ll fight bad guys for you any day, @vancityreynolds, thank you so much for having me and for your years of kindness and generosity”

The Yes Day star also gave a shoutout to stunt double Shauna Duggins, sharing a snap of the pair on her Instagram Stories with the message, “Twenty four years and three Elektras together and you are better than ever, @shaunaduggins.”

Reynolds’ latest post to Garner comes after he shared his appreciation for Channing Tatum, whose dream came true after he played the role of Gambit/Remy LeBeau in the film; an X-Men character Tatum, 44, had spent over a decade trying to bring to the silver screen.

“Gambit is a guy Chan was born to play,” Reynolds’ Instagram caption on Monday included.

“His story is similar to my road on Deadpool — in that Chan spent a decade trying to put the most comic-accurate version of Gambit on the big screen,” he shared, adding a gallery of photos of Tatum in the movie and calling him “one of the greatest, hardest working, kindest people in this entire industry.”

Earlier in the day, Reynolds gave a shoutout to 62-year-old Snipes’ impactful work as the character Blade, with the role dating back to the original 1998 movie.

“There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market,” Reynolds wrote in his Instagram caption. “He is Marvel Daddy. Please share for a Logan-like send off.”
