Greg Olsen Reveals How He Truly Feels About Tom Brady Coming In & Taking His Job At FOX

Greg Olsen recently discussed the possibility of losing his job to Tom Brady.

Olsen is the top color football commentator at FOX right now but that could change once Brady begins working for the company, with the former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback signing a 10-year deal with the network before he retired.

An appearance on Jimmy Traina’s ‘Sports Illustrated Media Podcast’ this week led to Olsen being asked about his future with FOX given the Brady expectations. He compared it to being a player in the NFL as he pointed out that he’s been cut, traded and what have you.

“It’s the life we all sign up for, we’re all big boys,” he said.

“When everything went down and we knew that Kevin and I were going to call this slate of games starting last year that obviously was going to end in a Super Bowl, there was no bigger magnifying glass on two guys in a booth than us. There was no story covered more on a week to week. And then it picked up when it went to the playoffs

“All we do and all we have ever done…we just keep calling our game. We just keep doing the game the way see it, the way we talk about it and the way that we find is maybe a little bit different, new, we point out things that maybe not everyone’s pointing out. We dive into subjects of the game that are kinda a little more new age.”

Brady has delayed his arrival at the network, having retired last February. He is expected to begin his broadcasting career at the start of the 2024 NFL season. But, should he opt not to, FOX should be fine continuing with Olsen and Kevin Burkhardt.

Burkhardt, who was also on the show, said he’s just continuing to do his job and that the cards will fall wherever they fall.
