Tom Brady is set to transition to a career in broadcasting, having signed a lucrative deal with industry giants FOX last year.
As has been the case with big-name former NFL stars, fans can look forward to seeing Brady and hearing his voice on television as of next season, given his decision to retire this week – unless, of course, he unretires again…
Brady’s deal was signed to t he tune of a whopping $375 million and will last 10 years. He put pen to paper while still an active member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whom he led to a championship in 2021. Retirement was always going to be an easy affair for Brady in terms of knowing what’s next. But it came as a surprise given the many reports claiming he would play for at least one more season.
With Super Bowl 57 only days away, Brady’s retirement announcement has resurrected speculation over whether he will be part of the broadcast crew on February 12. According to the Wall Street Journal, that will not be the case; Brady will wait until next season to make his debut.
A source from FOX who spoke to TMZ is also claiming the same, especially as the company was not aware of Brady’s retirement until it began doing the rounds on social media.
