Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark brings her elite skill set to the table come game day, but she also brings a fiery fight. Clark has received three technical fouls this season in just nine games played. Most of the reasoning comes from a 1-8 record for Indiana.

The Fever have been struggling all season and Clark has collected the brunt of the blame. She leads all rookies in scoring with around 18 points a game and had another great performance against the Seattle Storm on Thursday. Clark posted 20 points and nine assists in the 103-88 loss.

Her recent behavior, with what seems like an attitude, given the frustration, has led to a new nickname for Clark. Fans all over social media are calling her “Spicy Caitlin Clark.”

While Clark leads all scorers and is the early frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award, she’s struggled in terms of efficiency through the start of her career. Clark has consistently shot under 34% from three-point range and under 40% from the field.

The nickname for Clark holds some weight to it. Her behavior has been questioned, but the type of pressure she faces merits that type of attitude.
