The NFL is reportedly set to take up discussions with Taylor Swift about performing at Super Bowl 59 next year.

According to The U.S. Sun, the league made a late bid to have her perform in Las Vegas last month as her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs played the 49ers. However, Taylor was in the middle of her tour and simply wanted to enjoy the game after flying from Japan.

The publication is reporting that the NFL is keen on making early arrangements with the singer this time around as Roger Goodell believes a performance from Swift could make the next Super Bowl the most-watched of all time as her presence at Allegiant Stadium was enough to hand the league record viewing numbers, with 123 million tuning in.

“NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell recognizes Taylor’s ability to attract non-football fans and a younger demographic, with the possible increase in advertising revenue particularly intriguing,” the report notes.

“The ads could reach a cost of $8.5 million each, an increase of $1 million, or more,” a Sun source was quoted as saying “This year, it has been estimated that her presence helped generate a lot of money, estimated between $700-750 million. If she is the main artist of next year’s halftime show, it’s expected to generate more than $1.3-1.5 billion.”

Another business insider has predicted that if Taylor performs and the Chiefs make it back to the big game for the third successive year, Super Bowl 59 could be the “biggest sports event ever broadcasted in America” and might touch the 140 million mark.
