A frequent complaint this season for many NFL fans is the amount of airtime that pop star Taylor Swift has received during Kansas City Chiefs games and that fact has continued throughout the playoffs.
Many fans cried for the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl as much of the coverage was about the pop star being able to make it to Las Vegas in time to watch Travis Kelce and the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.
There’s been a lot of talk about Taylor Swift being shown on the screen during the Chiefs games but we now know how long she was on camera for Super Bowl LVIII.
The songstress was shown for just 54 seconds on the CBS broadcast and viewed just twelve times. According to analyst Jason Pauley, footage of Swift accounted for just 0.36 percent of the four hours and eight minutes of game time on Sunday night.
Her being shown was down from the 0.39 percent of the broadcast in the AFC Championship game against the Ravens last month.
However, a casual search of Twitter would show you the complaints that range from media members to NFL fans who think that Swift’s attendance at the game is a distraction. These are just people who just complain just to complain.
The Kansas City Chiefs won and were back-to-back Super Bowl champions. It’s the first time since 2003-2004 that the NFL has had consecutive seasons end with the same champion, and it’s only the ninth time in the 58-year history of the Super Bowl.
