Aliyah Boston INTERRUPTS Caitlin Clark to DEFEND her from a REPORTER who asks about TURNOVERS.
Aliyah Boston Swoops in for Caitlin Clark to Defend 1 Problematic Stat for WNBA Rookie
The Indiana Fever is rolling hot in the WNBA this season. By brushing aside the Washington Mystics on Wednesday evening, Caitlin Clark and Co. record their fourth consecutive victory on home turf since 2015.
One of the major reasons cited behind this successful run is the 6-foot-guard’s on-court chemistry with the rest of her teammates. However, her equation with the current WNBA Rookie of The Year Aliyah Boston beyond the hardwood is also capable of gaining quite the attention.
Caitlin Clark was joined by Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston to address the media’s queries after their comfortable 88-81 victory at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Herein, a reporter wanted Clark to comment on her off-target passes in the second half. While she was pointing out the specifics of her shortcomings, Boston chose to step forward and defend her teammate. Boston interrupted Clark and said, “It’s okay, it’s alright. Don’t worry.”
Following this, the 22-year-old provided the answers from her side. Boston further added, “You look at Caitlin and you look at the way she passes the ball. So, sometimes things are going to happen that way. And, that’s okay because we’re not going to let her hang her head.
We’re not going to hang our head off any miss passes. We’re still continuing to gel together and we know that she’s a great passer.” Soon after, the people present there saw Caitlin Clark thanking Aliyah Boston with a huge smile.
The question arises due to the fact that the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer had 6 turnovers next to her name this game and 5.5 on average. As a result, this takes her tally to 88 for the season at an average of 5.5 per contest.

Nonetheless, Clark was able to get the record straight somewhere else.
Caitlin Clark keeps on piling records
The 37 minutes on the hardwood resulted in Clark securing a fantastic double-double comprising 18 points and 12 rebounds. Consequently, this makes her the only rookie guard since 2007 to register multiple double-doubles in a single season.
In addition to this, her contributions of 18 points, 12 rebounds, along with 6 assists and 4 steals is only the 5th occasion in the WNBA (1st for a rookie) history in which a player has garnered such numbers. This has given rise to a public demand to make Clark a WNBA All-Star among fans.
The rookie campaign just keeps getting better and better for Caitlin Clark. The kind of impact that she is creating in her debut WNBA season speaks volumes of the talent she possesses. How far can she take the Indiana Fever this time around? Only time will tell.
