A’ja Wilson Criticized Caitlin Clark Drama With One Word

On Tuesday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever faced MVP front-runner A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces in a highly anticipated matchup.

A crowd of 20,366 fans flooded T-Mobile Arena for the nationally televised game, marking the fifth-largest attendance in WNBA history.

After the Aces’ 88-69 win, Wilson was asked to discuss Clark’s impact on the league’s recent growth.

Clark’s arrival in the WNBA came with unprecedented fanfare and drama. Some believed WNBA veterans were jealous of the No. 1 pick — taking it out on her with physical play on the court.

Wilson thinks that vibe has shifted. The Aces superstar described the previous Caitlin Clark drama as gossipy.

“It’s a good vibe. It’s a good feel. People are just coming to see the product on the floor. It got a little too gossipy in the beginning, but then it started to fizzle out, because people are starting to realize we’re really good at what we do. We’re elite at what we do. I love the energy now,” Wilson said.

Wilson finished Tuesday night’s win with 28 points, nine rebounds and five blocks. Clark recorded another double-double with 13 points and 11 assists.
