Strictly’s Pasha Kovalev has choreographed a new musical (Image: PASHA KOVALEV)

Strictly’s Pasha Kovalev has addressed new rumours that Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle could be about to head to Barista The Musical, the new stage show he is choreographing.

Though it debuts at a theatre in Horsham, West Sussex, the show will be bringing to the public the melodies, moves and flavours of Colombia, where the love story is set.

Pasha, who previously reached the Strictly final three times and proudly lifted the Glitterball Trophy once, has vowed that the Sussexes will “love” the musical if they do decide to come. He told Express.co.uk: “The show is for everyone.

“It will take you away from real everyday life for two and a half hours, take you around the world, and you’ll forget about everything else that bothers you at the moment, as you enter a beautiful setting with a beautiful story and amazing music.” It features Latin and contemporary dance moves – and Pasha promised: “If they will have time to come, then I’m sure they will love it – but it’s directed at everyone regardless.”

Harry and Meghan are currently on a tour of the Latin American nation and although they’ve been warned of possible danger due to political unrest, Barista will bring the country’s sights, sounds and rhythms to life with none of the associated risks. Pasha has visited himself in the past and revealed that his travels and the friends he made there “definitely helped” with bringing the music to life.

Pasha has shared that his new project is “completely different” to anything Strictly fans have seen from him before.

Now solely in a choreography role, he added that he’s been able to be “much more ambitious” when planning scenes than in his Strictly days as all the dancers in the show are experienced.

He believes the audience may relate to the portrayals of “love and betrayal” as they watch the emotionally-charged moments of Isabella Sanchez (played by Sara Bartos).

“Girl meets boy, they fall in love but then there are lots of obstacles [and] acertain barrier between them which they have to overcome in order to have their happy ever after,” Pasha explained.
