Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez selling $60 million house, reports say divorce imminent

We have what may be the most significant sign that a divorce is imminent for fans of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez (or at least those who are curious about the status of their much-publicized marital problems).

The present unstable state of Affleck and J-Lo’s marriage has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, and now TMZ is reporting that the couple is allegedly seeking to sell the house they purchased together after their marriage.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are reportedly spending some time together after a summer apart—and ahead of Affleck’s 52nd birthday on Thursday. On Monday, a source told People that Lopez paid a visit to Affleck’s Brentwood rental home on Sunday. Earlier in the day, Lopez also took Ben’s son Samuel Affleck, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, to the mall. The insider told the outlet that Lopez wants to continue spending time with Ben’s kids before the school year starts.

“Just because she’s not with Ben doesn’t mean that she doesn’t care about his kids,” the source explained. Lopez, who shares 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony, has always made it a priority to blend their families. Affleck and Garner also have Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15.

“She always cared about them,” the source continued. “She spent months looking for the perfect house for their blended family last year. Now, when she’s back in L.A., she wants to spend quality time with them before school resumes and Violet is off to college.”

The outing comes on the heels of Lopez’s Los Angeles house hunt last week. The star was spotted touring homes in Beverly Hills, where she and Affleck previously shared a residence. A separate source told People that Lopez is hoping to “start fresh” with a new home. Another insider told the publication that Affleck is “doing well” and “thrives when he’s busy, and he’s been working nonstop.” He’s also been leaning on his family and spending time with his kids.

“The kids are still off from school. He spends a lot of time with them, too,” they added. “It hasn’t been the easiest summer for him, either. He’s just trying to stay focused and make every day as good as possible.”

Neither Lopez nor Affleck have publicly commented on the status of their relationship.
