Caitlin Clark made another strong case to be the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year on Friday as the Indiana Fever beat the Phoenix Mercury 95-86.

Clark had 20 points, 13 assists, six boards, a pair of blocks and a steal. She also made history, becoming the first rookie to record 400 points, 150 assists and 100 rebounds in a season—a feat that becomes more impressive when considering the Fever still have 16 games left to play this year.

It’s safe to say Clark is creating a wide gap in the Rookie of the Year race, and she can continue doing so with a strong finish to the season.

After the win, WNBA fans hyped Clark’s chances to win Rookie of the Year.

Clark is having one of the best rookie seasons in recent memory, averaging 16.7 points, 7.6 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game. Performances like Friday’s will only help her numbers get better as the season continues.

With the win, the Fever improved to 10-14 on the year and passed the Chicago Sky to take the No. 7 spot in the WNBA standings. Indiana had a rough 1-8 start to the year but has started to turn things around, and a win over a strong Phoenix team should only help the Fever’s confidence moving forward.
