ESPN’s Joe Buck Drops A Giant Truth Bomb On Tom Brady

Tom Brady retired in February for the second-straight year, but the closest he plans on getting back on the field is him holding a microphone and talking about the game.

He decided to hold off his broadcasting career until 2024 after he signed a 10-year contract with Fox. It will be a huge adjustment for Brady as he will go from the field to talking about the players on the field.

Former FOX lead and “Monday Night Football” play-by-play man Joe Buck is more than willing to help him out.

Via Barrett Sports Media:

“I would do [that] in a heartbeat with all the help he’s given us over the years,” Buck told Barrett Sports Media. “… There’s going to be a bit of a learning curve for Tom.”

“I expect him to do it and do it well, but it’s a weird kind of thing to do,” Buck said. “There’s a bit of acting involved. It’s a presentation as much as just knowing football. I’m sure he’ll be great, but I’m anxious to see.”

Although Brady will join the Fox team that replaced Buck and wingman Troy Aikman in the booth, Buck believes everyone “got what they wanted” in the end.

Greg Olsen will be able to be alongside Kevin Burkhardt as Fox’s top NFL tandem, but once Brady is ready, he is expected to jump right to the top of Fox’s NFL coverage.
