Jennifer Lopez Is Keeping ‘Focused on Work’ amid Ben Affleck Marriage Strain-lh

The star is preparing for her summer concert tour after launching ‘Atlas’ as the No. 1 film on Netflix over Memorial Day weekend

Jennifer Lopez is keeping up her busy work schedule as rumors continue to surround her and Ben Affleck. “They’re still living separately,” a source close to Lopez tells PEOPLE. “She’s back in L.A. for tour rehearsals. She seems okay. She’s very focused on work.”

Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, spent Mother’s Day apart and have been living under different roofs in Los Angeles. Lopez’s latest film Atlas debuted over Memorial Day weekend as the No. 1 movie on Netflix in 55 countries, according to the streaming service, adding that the sci-fi movie attracted 28.2 million views. On top of the new movie, Lopez is also preparing to embark on a North American summer tour that begins in Orlando on June 26.

On May 23, Affleck was seen stepping out at the Los Angeles restaurant Giorgio Baldi with a group while Lopez was in Mexico City attending the red carpet premiere of her new Netflix movie Atlas.

The actor has been filming The Accountant 2 on the west coast in recent weeks while Lopez promoted her film solo. In the recent documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told

, Affleck said that he and Lopez are “two people with different kinds of approaches trying to learn to compromise.” A film industry source recently told PEOPLE that Affleck has never been totally comfortable showcasing his romance with Lopez to the world through her creative work. Still, he has never wanted to stand in the way of who she is as an artist.

“He’s always been impressed about how she works so hard and has achieved so much success,” says the film source. “But the openness and promotion is not his way.”

Lopez and Affleck famously rekindled their relationship from the early 2000s in 2021 and married in 2022. While they do not share any children together, the pair have a blended family that includes Max and Emme, the 16-year-old twins Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, the kids Affleck shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
